Roger Bird

My name is Roger Bird.  I was born in the parish and still live on the family farm Birdby. I joined the Parish Council in 2009 after standing down as elected County Councillor for the area. I am a Chartered Surveyor in Rural Land Management and a member of the Historic Houses Archivists Group. I am also a director of the Lyvennet Community Trust which owns social housing at Crosby Ravensworth. I am Chairman of the Penrith Players Theatre. I have been a member of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authorities.. My special responsibility is liaison between the Parish Council and Farmers and Landowners.
