Clerk
Shelagh Leyland
And I am Shelagh Leyland, I have been the Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer since 2014. I am employed by the council to manage the finances and take care of communications and administration. I am not a councillor and therefore have no vote. I’ve lived in Bolton since 2012. I initially trained as a GP, but following an MBA in international health development, I then worked as a consultant in the international aid business before returning to GP work in 2004, retiring in 2012. As well as England, I’ve lived and worked in Nepal, Vanuatu, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Belgium. My aim is to make Bolton a desirable place for people of all ages to live.
