The Memorial Hall was built in 1922 as a memorial to those who gave their lives in the Great War. In 1948 the adjacent field was designated as a Memorial to those who served in the Second World War.   Both the Hall and Field are well used Community resources for a great variety of purposes.  The Hall is available for hire by any organisation or individual in the Bolton area. Charges can be agreed at the time of booking.  The Hall and Field are managed by a Committee of Trustees, elected annually at the Annual General Meeting, from interested village residents.   An Annual Report and Statement of Accounts is produced for each year.  Copies of the reports for the last five years are available.

Memorial Hall Redevelopment Plans
In 2021 it was decided by the Trustees that a major refurbishment of the Hall was required to meet the current needs of the community.  Plans have been drawn up and work commenced on the first stage – a new car park – in 2022, and was completed in early 2023.   The remaining work will require a considerable sum to carry out, and while we are pursuing grants, there will be a need to supplement this with various fundraising events in the future.  Please give your support to these events.
