The Community Cafe

(Formerly the "Bolton Exchange")

The “Community Cafe” is a chance to meet the rest of the community and share a cuppa, enjoy a homemade cake or biscuit and chat in a totally informal setting.  It takes place in the Memorial Hall every Tuesday afternoon and is open to everyone.  On most Tuesdays it opens from 1.30 to 4pm.  However, on the first Tuesday of the month, a more substantial lunch is on offer from 12.30 pm until 3.30 (food served from 1pm).  There is a a selection of home made soups and pies/quiches or other savoury dishes, with a wide selection of delicious desserts and unlimited tea or coffee.  The all-in price is £5.00 –  a true bargain.  These events are very popular so get there early.

The Community Café is run entirely by volunteers and without this support it could not thrive or survive.  Volunteers are always needed for setting out and storing tables and chairs, baking, and serving – the commitment is not great – each team does just once per month – so please get involved as the rewards to the community are so beneficial.  For more details contact:
